Wonderful Wedding Weekend!

The end of April is a wee bit busy for anyone in the Hilton Head Island wedding industry. It's so busy you don't know whether you're coming or going. It's been awhile since I've blogged. 15 days to be exact! I swear I've been saving some great stuff for the blog.

Such a GORGEOUS weekend here for a wedding! 80's, blue skies and calm waters made this weekend even more memorable for some truly amazing couples.

Not only did I have the pleasure of creating beautiful wedding cakes for these couples, but I also had the pleasure of working on a few other projects.

Natalee and Mike took advantage of the season and the bright spring day with beautiful colors! Their wedding included lime green, pale pink and a chocolate brown. Complete with bright oriental Star Gazer Lilies and a mixture of gorgeous spring flowers.

Beautiful April Weddings!!

April is a very beautiful month in the LowCountry. I am particularly partial to April weddings as I had one years ago!

This first weekend in April was full of beautiful weddings, beautiful cakes and very beautiful couples. Congratulations to you all!

Heather and Matt- Private Beach Home in Palmetto Dunes- Hilton Head Island, SC

Heather and Matt are wonderful! They took advantage of the destination wedding with their cake design. Elegant, colorful and beachy are not easy to pull off...they did it!

Anna and Chad- Plantation Club in Sea Pines Resort- Hilton Head Island, SC

Anna and Chad had a beautiful wedding! Apple green with various shades of pink in their floral design. Very April, very spring! Anna opted for a simple butter cream cake with edible sugar ribbon border in apple green and varying shades of pink sugar peonies (closed peonies) for the top. Congratulations you two!!

Katie and Andrew- Aqua Grille and Lounge - Hilton Head Island, SC

Katie and Andrew have a beautiful love story. What better place to celebrate their love and their marriage than the Aqua Grille and Lounge on Hilton Head Island! This design was a butter cream cake with sage/seafoam green fondant accents and a silk flower topper. Katie wanted to use silk flowers in place of live or sugar. They arrived beautifully!

Trish and Jason- Callawassie Island Club- Callawassie Island, SC

Trish and Jason are super sweet! Trish wanted a square cake incorporating her green and raspberry/plumish purple hue. Complete with the monogram P and J from their invites, this cake was adorned with live cymbidium orchids. May your life together be as beautiful as your wedding day!

Amanda's Bridal Shower!

Stacey, Amanda's friend, is throwing a bridal shower this weekend. The colors of the cakes mimicked the invite and the cakes were really colorful and fun! Amanda is blessed to have a thoughtful friend in Stacey! Congratulations Amanda!
