All things vintage- what a weekend!

I had an AMAZING weekend! Perhaps that's because I had the opportunity to create cakes for some pretty AMAZING people!

2 of those amazing people are Brandy and Michael! I absolutely loved working with these two! Brandy has a very classic, clean and vintage-inspired wedding day style. From the ceremony which took place in Forsyth Park in Savannah, GA, to her reception at The Olde Pink House, she didn't overlook a single detail. Brandy wanted a cake that captured what she had envisioned her wedding to be. Beautiful- Grand- Soft- Feminine-Stylish- Possessing vintage flair. Together, Brandy and I came up with the perfect design/color combo for her big day!

Michael, Brandy's husband, wanted a grooms cake that would surely stand out at the reception, but not steal the show! These two LOVE to travel and have been many places together! In fact, they are back-packing through Europe as I write this blog! Michael wanted a grooms cake that captured the rustic feeling of a tattered old-world map. Think Indiana Jones meets Harry Potter. His grooms cake was a square shaped cake made to resemble a mahogany box with a solid sugar map on top of the box. I sure hope he loved it as much as I loved creating it!

Lastly, Rebecca celebrated her 40th Birthday this past Saturday with a birthday bash at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio located inside the Seaquins Ballroom. This cake is fit for a ballroom dancing queen!
