Hello all! Blogs seem to be few and far between these days. I am sad to say I have been a slacker, but for a very very good reason...we are BUSY! We stay crazy busy through the year, but this January, February and March have been the craziest I've ever had! Definitely not complaining and I think it's a good sign of things to come.
So, where did I leave you last? I know you all probably want to see new pictures of the boys, and of course the cakes!
Before you do, I want to share a few of the happenings as of late.
First, Hospice Care of the LowCountry held it's annual Hospice Hearts fundraiser. This year it was called 'Hospice, Hearts and You'. As usual, I was asked to provide a cake for the celebration. I opted to create a cake to appeal to the fashionista or material girl in all of us. This cake, complete with sugar shoes, shoe boxes and handbags all made of cake, was created with love and support for our local area hospice. You may remember last year, I was commissioned to create the handbags for the 'Hospice, Hearts and Handbags' event. Click the link HERE to view last years event and cakes.
Here is this year's cake:
Another item worthy of mention that I was awarded WeddingWire.com's 'Bride's Choice Award 2010'. This means I am among the top 5% of wedding vendors in the nation. What an honor and a privilege. It's all because of the reviews from my loyal past clients. So, if you've received a wedding cake from me in the past, be sure to log onto www.WeddingWire.com and review your experience.
Oh Yes! I almost forgot to mention it SNOWED here in Hilton Head last month! What craziness! Nathan and Gary enjoyed building a snowman and having a snowball fight. This was Nathan's first snow!
Lastly, before I get into recent pictures...I have to thank our friends Scott and Melissa Hopkins of Scott Hopkins Photographer for coming out to shoot the boys (photos, not literally). These photos will be cherished by our family always...so, I'd like to share them. Check out their web site HERE.
Here, also, are pictures of some of the cakes I've been busy creating this month.
Thanks for taking a peek and checking in for an update. Stay tuned in the coming weeks as I am announcing big news that has me squealing with excitement!!
xoxo
